Chris Pettman stands at the forefront of the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre (CFEC), a non-profit society that has been serving the South Cariboo community for over 30 years. The CFEC was founded in 1988 in order to assist families with direct support, education and referrals. Throughout his tenure with the CFEC, Chris has worked with youth, and has represented the organization through his roles in both community development and as a First Nations liaison.
Chris has been living in the Cariboo since 1982 and has been a leader in the community through his volunteerism and various board work. In particular, Chris was elected to the board of School District #27 as Trustee in 2012, and has recently been elected to the 100 Mile District Council (2018).
Chris earned an MBA with a specialization in Social Enterprise which has become very useful in his career sector. Chris is a social justice advocate and is passionate about giving everyone choices and resources to meet their goals.
Chris is married and has two wonderful children. In the summer he can be found in his garden tending to the hollyhocks; in the winter he can be found inside expressing his intense loathing of the snow.
