Touch of Christmas Needs Your Help

CFEC is seeking monetary donations towards the purchase of necessary and essential items and gifts to complete tailored Christmas Baskets for our annual Touch of Christmas campaign. Touch of Christmas enhances the holiday for local families-in-need by providing them with a Christmas Basket containing gifts and seasonal treats.

Christmas Baskets will be assembled to fit the needs and wishes of the families, and will start being distributed a week before Christmas. Many Baskets will be hand delivered to rural and isolated families by CFEC’s caring staff. Last year, the campaign reached nearly 70 families (over 250 people)— all made possible by the generosity of the local community.

Additionally, we will accept donations of: gift certificates for local businesses, clothing, toys, games, art supplies, grocery and fuel vouchers. Touch of Christmas donations must be new and in original packaging, according to policy. In the past few years, we have noticed an increase in the need of gifts for moms and dads; particularly clothing and essential care products.

Families in need can easily register to receive a Christmas Basket by visiting reception at CFECs Office, located at #1-486 Birch Avenue (beside Home Hardware). Registration is open from Nov. 12 – Dec. 15.

Tax receipts are available for any cash donations over $25. For more information on how to donate or help, please call Debbra Williams or Chris Pettman at (250) 395-5155 during CFEC’s normal business hours. Additionally, you may donate online with the Paypal Button on the sidebar. During the donation process where you may enter a message, please mention if you would like your donation to go toward Touch of Christmas.
